Bold Teenagers pulling British Independent Film out of Recession
25th March 2009
Three London Teenagers are set to make cinema history - not in Hollywood but on this side of the Atlantic...
In order to fund their £1m commercial feature length movie, a London based trio are turning to the Great British public and selling the movie's end credits.
For just £1, members of the public can become movie producers and see their name roll down on the end credits of the movie, knowing that they helped fund its production.
The BUYACREDIT project has already captured the imaginations of thousands nationwide and has earned the support of numerous celebrities and industry professionals. Over £100,000 in sales and investments has been raised so far.
Adrian Bliss (18), Benjamin Robbins (18) and Toby Stubbs (17) are already steaming through the development stage of their movie "Dardentor", an adventure comedy based on "Clovis Dardentor", a 'forgotten novel' by the World famous author, Jules Verne. The book (which has remained unpublished in English for well over a century) wrongly found itself overshadowed by Verne's other masterpieces such as "Around the World in Eighty Days" and "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea". Robbins claims that "The novel is truly a hidden gem. It is almost as if Verne wrote it for the silver screen!"
