You've been telling us here at LF that you'd like us to organise readers' events and so here is the first of several exclusive days we will be running during 2012 that have been chosen by us, just for you. Our very first Readers' Day is a knock-out - join us for a day of foodie heaven with award winning chef James Sommerin at The Crown at Celtic Manor on Wednesday 22 February.

About our expert

James Sommerin is Executive Head Chef of the Crown at Whitebrook and the Crown at Celtic Manor restaurants. Both restaurants are three AA rosette establishments and the Crown at Whitebrook was named AA Restaurant of the Year in Wales 2011-12. The Crown at Whitebrook was also awarded its first Michelin star in 2007 which it has retained ever since and is one of just four restaurants in the whole of Wales to hold a Michelin star. James competed in the BBC 2 Great British Menu in 2009, winning the Welsh regional final, and is competing again this year.

Your day will include...

You will enjoy a bespoke masterclass with James in which he will demonstrate one of his signature dishes, taking you through each stage step by step. This will be followed by a question and answer session, giving you the opportunity to ask him that burning culinary question you've always wanted answered! You will then enjoy a leisurely and delicious 3-course lunch with half a bottle of wine in the fabulous Crown at Celtic Manor restaurant to complete the day.
